4 Cups Red Lentil
3 Cups Onion Diced
½ Cup Oil
1 Tbsp. Ginger
2 Tbsp. Garlic
3 Tbsp. Berbere
3 Tbsp. Tomato Paste
Salt
Wash lentils and soak for 10 minutes. In a pot cook diced onion until brown by adding water. Then oil, Berbere and tomato paste added to the onion. Reduce the heat to medium. When the sauce is ready add lentil, garlic and ginger. Let it simmer until the lentils are tender.
